My Locked Jaw

It has been 2 weeks since I woke up and discovered that my left jaw was locked. I cannot open my mouth very wide, and I am in pain if I eat chewy things. Due to the pain my appetite has decreased. I saw my family doctor and my dentist, but they could not do anything for me. The dentist tried to take some x-rays, but they could not get the little plastic thingy in my mouth to take the x-rays. The dentist said that he was really concerned and he did not want it to go on like this for much longer because he did not want it to turn into a permanent thing. Therefore, I now have to go see a jaw specialist in Peoria on Wednesday November 3rd (my appointment is at 9:30 am). I am not nervous about it now, but I am anticipating myself to become nervous and stressed out it the day before my appointment. So I am writing this to ask a favor from all of you who read this, to PLEASE pray for me. Pray for my jaw that the specialist would know what was wrong with it, and that it would not be anything serious. Also, pray for my emotions. I am sure that my emotions will be up one minute and then down the next. I will post an update about my locked jaw as soon as I know something. Thank You All So Much For Your Thoughts And Prayers!

Love in Christ,
Becca :O)

online newsletter.

One of the things that I was thinking when I created this blog was to bring the email reminders here. Enough of us are on blog, so I figured this would suffice as a place to post newsletters and such.

This Sunday:

It's Halloween, but we're not having a Halloween party, no, it's Defy the Devil Night. Todd and Sarah's genuis made reality will hopefully lead into us having lots of fun. Bobbing for things, lots of candy, lots of food... tell your friends. Good stuff.

The tuesday following:
Bible Study as usual, at 7:00, which will probably be followed by a random and unplanned excursion to McDonalds.

That's all for now, more to come.

I am only trying this out to see how everyone else responds to the idea. However, I want to lay down a couple guidelines or rules to keep this friendly:

1. This is not an avenue for gossip. If you wouldn't talk about it in our youth group circle or at McDonalds, you probably shouldn't talk about it here.

2. Be nice to one another. We're all Christ-siblings.

3. Try not to draw a line between what's on here and youth group, we should all be like "Hey Lewis, I thought the song lyrics you posted on the youth group blog were really really cool, I left you a comment!"

Added:

4. Some of the fonts and colors used in this blog so far have been rather difficult to read, but I didn't want to just go in and change them. The default font and color works and looks the best.

5. No pictures have been posted yet, but please do not. Links to pictures are fine, pictures in personal blogs are fine, but since the lj-cut doesn't exist on blogger, please no pictures cluttering up the blog.

Let this be a way for all of us to grow closer to one another.

Other than that, posts about issues we're struggling with, cool stuff God is doing, prayer request or praises, scripture that touched us that day or that we think is really cool are all encouraged.

If you're not in the list below and you want to be, let me know and I'll go back and edit it.
