James 4:5 "Or do you think scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely?"
When we place something of a higher importance than God is, we're committing adultery. It's like we're having an affiar with all our old boyriends and girlfriends. God loves us so much, that when we entertain sin, we're committing adultery, and God longs for us intensely. Sin separates us from God, and so do our little affairs.
