TMJ and Jaw Dislocation

Here is the update on my jaw...

I saw the TMJ and Facial Pain Specialist today. After taking an x-ray, asking me many questions, and feeling my jaw the Doctor diagnosed me with several things (I'll ask specifically what they are exactly next time I see him.) which only two stuck out in my mind: 1. I have TMJ (temporomandibular joint --> better know as jaw pain/discomfort), and 2. my jaw is dislocated. To solve this problem will cost approximately $2,400, which is NOT covered by insurance, and it will take appoximately 4-6 months to heal. I will have to see the specialist almost once every week until my jaw is back to normal. Therefore, the next visit (Thursday November 11th at 1pm) I will have to go back to get my teeth molded for a "brace" (or appliance, whatever you want to call it). Then a week later, I go back to pick up the mouth piece which I will have to wear the bottom one all of the time and the top one only at night. The "brace" looks like clear plastic retainers which some people have after they have braces on their teeth. As time goes on, I will have to have some more intense x-rays taken of mainly my jaw bone (instead of my jaw and teeth). Thankfully, my parents are going to pay for me to have this done. I just pray that my family will not be too financially hurt by all of this, because if I hear about any money issues then I am going to want to blame myself, even though I know that there is and was nothing that I can do about it. There is more about my jaw, but I do not know specifics at this time. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. I feel so much more relieved now since I have taken one step in the process of getting my jaw to be back to normal. I am still in pain while chewing, yawning, singing, etc. so PLEASE keep me in your prayers that if it be God's will that He heals my jaw completely.

Once again, Thank you!
